Quick question for a clutch UEF player.

My usual UEF strategy is to basically turtle early until my T3 economy gets rolling and then roll fatboys into every corner of the map and build a new base around each one, then push in slowly from there knocking out enemy installations, the biggest problem with this strategy so far has been this. I basically get rushed by 1 Czar halfway through my T3 push, and wiped out. I have a defensive line, but its tough to build so many AA guns that you can shoot down a Czar before it gets over the top of your base and its pancake damage crushes your junk.

So far T3 air superiority has been too expensive an option to go for while expanding my economy to the extent that I do.

This post: How to defend yourself from a T3/T4 (relatively) early rush without sacrificing economic expansion?

Yeah that doesn't work. Gotta pump out harassers early on to keep the enemy on their toes.

I understand the need for harassment and am working that into the strategy, but I still need an answer to my original question, how best to protect myself from early T4's without sacrificing my economic expansion.

Short answer is intel combined with a lot of small anti air installations littering the map. That way you can see the CZAR coming.

Build heaps of T1 fighters, they are cheap and if you are T3 then they get built quite fast

Build 50-200 of them and make sure that you have good radar coverage and/or some scouts, T1 if you don't want to stuff up your economy.

Or you can just build another T3 power and 3 T3 fabricators quickly and use the extra resources to build T3 ASF's and scouts.

Or, this will help you in the longer run, build some SCU's because they produce their own resources and build the quickest out of anything. You then use them to build more and more power and mass fabricators. You can then mass produce aircraft and use the SCU's to help build them.

These will all work, just choose the one that works the best for you.

    Hope this worksSmile
